Next Generation Shopping and Windows CardSpace at OTTO Group
The OTTO Group Next Generation Smart Client is an offline capable Microsoft Windows application built by using Microsoft Presentation Foundation. This client is able to show a large set of articles in a new, 3D enabled, user interface. One requirement was the capability to communicate with the OTTO Group WebServices in a secure manner. Additionally, there should be a way to identify customers without the need to enter a username or a password.
All these requirements could be resolved using the Windows Communication Foundation and Windows CardSpace.
