Eckhard Völcker began his career as independent software developer in 1981. In 1983 , he joined Philips Kommunikations AG, serving the company as a product manager. He was also a technical supervisor for CPS System Integration in Berlin, the managing director of Krone Netzwerkservices, and a regional supervisor of Krone AG. In 1994, he co-founded Völcker Informatik GmbH to focus on the burgeoning technology supporting the automation of identity management and user provisioning.
As managing shareholder, Eckhard has continuously found ways to extend the company into new markets and expand relationships with existing customers. In 1991 and 1992, Eckhard served as IT guest lecturer at the Humboldt University, Berlin, sharing his knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
