Dr. Jan Camenisch is a leading scientist in the area of cryptography and privacy. He has published more than 100 scientific papers and book chapters. Jan's research agenda is very unique: since the very early stages of his career, Jan conducted cutting-edge research which pioneered an active line of work on privacy-enhancing technologies and cryptographic tools for the construction of efficient protocols. Jan's team is probably the world leading research group in privacy-enhancing technologies. Jan is also fostering the real-world adoption of such technologies by leading and initiating international research projects.

He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and the technical leader of the EU-funded project PrimeLife. He was the technical leader of EU-funded project PRIME and PrimeLife and am now involved in ABC4Trust, FutureID, and FIware.
