Dr. Michael B. Jones Standards Architect Microsoft Michael B. Jones is a Standards Architect at Microsoft. He is an editor of several IETF OAuth specifications, the IETF JOSE (JSON cryptography) specifications, and the OpenID Connect specifications. He serves on the board of the OpenID Foundation. He was a researcher at Microsoft Research from 1992 to 2005. Michael earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1992. His interests include digital identity, computer security, privacy, distributed systems, networking, operating systems, musical performance, outdoor activities, and his fellow human beings.
