Internet pioneer and journalist Esther Dyson used to close many issues of the monthly technology-industry newsletter "Release 1.0" she published from 1986 until 2006 with the sentence: "Remember - it's an analogue world". But now it seems, that the Internet of Everything and the convergence of IT and OT (Operational Technology) are on their way to take control over the analogue part of our world, with digital threats not only affecting our companies and each of us as individuals, but also public life as a whole.
