Berthold Kerl studied economics and computer science in Nürnberg. Since then he has worked in the IT Industry for more than 20 years in a variety of different roles. In the first half of his career Berthold worked at CSC leading the SAP consulting practice for financial services industry. After joining Deutsche Bank in 2002 he has been working in various leadership roles covering the entire software development lifecycle as well as Sourcing/Outsourcing, IT Strategy and IT Governance. Since 2008 he is in charge to drive the Governance of Information and Technology Risk globally.
