Product Report: Symlabs Virtual Directory and LDAP Proxy 22.09.2008 Felix Gaehtgens €95.00: Symlabs has launched version 4.0 of its "Virtual Directory Server" and "LDAP Proxy" products in April 2008. Both products are essentially the same code base, but differ in bundled functionality. The LDAP Proxy offers load-balancing, routing and fail-over of directory requests and can also remap data dynamically. The "Virtual Directory Server" adds virtualisation features that solve common integration problems in many enterprises.

Stakeholders such as companies, authorities as well as attackers have a too strong interest in user specific profiles and context information. So, they usually have their very own view on what "user-centric" means. However, there is concepts like privacy-enhanced personalisation which can help to enable the user to protect his privacy in specific situations.
