Roland Hedberg has received one Master degree in Biology and Chemistry from Umeå University, Sweden and another in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå Technical University, Sweden. He is senior researcher at ICT Services and System Development (ITS), Umeå University, Sweden. His main research areas includes distribute authorisation and authentication service infrastructure and identity management. He is involved in three different subtasks within the GEANT3 project (Moonshot, Idfed and GEMBus) where he is designing and implementing service infrastructure. He is also co-chair of TERENAs Task Force on European Middleware Coordination and Collaboration (TF-EMC2).
